At red 184, head west up the Darien River about 7 miles. The docks are free for up to a two day stay on a first come first serve basis but you can call before you head up river to make sure they have space. Once at the docks, the fort is a little over a mile bike ride.
12/8/18 – Colonial Christmas: join the friends of the fort for dinner in the soldier’s barracks followed by colonial style Yuletide jolification. Program concludes with cannon firing. 7pm – 9pm Reservations required. $35
12/15/18 – Chat with a Chandler: Watch and chat with a chandler as he makes 18th century style hand-dipped candles. 10am – 2pm
12/16/18 – Make a Pinch Pot: Learn one of the oldest forms of pottery. Make your very own pinch pot to remember your visit! 2pm – 3pm
12/22/18 – Make an Ornament: Join one of the rangers in making some cool ornaments to hang in your boat! 2pm – 3pm
12/27/18 – Boxing Day Outdoor Play: Spend some time outside playing with Colonial toys and games. 1:30pm – 3:30pm
12/29/18 – March Forward into the Past: Explore the site with a redcoat soldier. 2pm – 3pm
2/16/19 – 2/17/19 – South Althing: a Viking re-enactment
3/9/19 – 3/11/19 (Second weekend in March) – Scottish Highlanders spring re-enactment
