Dismal Swamp Canal Welcome Center Free Dock
Located at the Dismal Swamp Welcome Center on the east side of the Dismal Swamp Canal, this free face dock has enough room for about 3 – 4 boats on a first come first served basis. Common courtesy dictates that the first boats in dock as far to one end as possible to allow the maximum room for following boats. Rafting is expected so prepare to have a good time with new found friends! The Welcome Center, which also operates as a rest stop for Highway 17, has restrooms that are open 24/7. Water is available on the dock.
